Welcome to Awareness Wednesdays (AW)

We’re starting a new thing here at Solaris Whole Health to bring you the most recent health and nutrition news: Awareness Wednesdays. This Wednesday is dedicated to the Improving Nutrition for America’s Children Act of 2010.

The Child Nutrition Act would ensure that children have more healthy options in school such as fruits, vegetables and plant-based foods. Healthy habits start at a young age which is why it’s important that we do our part to get nutritional, wholesome foods in school cafeterias and vending machines. The deadline for Congress to vote on the Child Nutrition Act is September 30, but right now the House version of the bill is at risk of being rejected for the Senate’s weaker, bare-bones version.

Click here to learn more and send a letter urging Congress to significantly improve children’s food options by voting for the House bill. Two minutes of your time today could make a lifetime of a difference to children and families across the country.

Pass it along!
